500 SEC door seals

I've just bought new door seals for my 1989 500 SEC. For the most part they just push in to the flange round the door but on the hinge side they are actually glued onto the door it's-self. Can anyone tell me what type of glue I should be using to attach the new ones as I don't wan't to get it wrong and ruin the seals or the paint work.
