500 SEC Headache

On starting my 500 SEC the engine immediately starts racing and the ABS light stays on. It has, once or twice, returned to normal and the ABS light gone out for no apparent reason. I have taken it to my local garage and they were as clueless as I am. I presume the fault is electrical but have no idea what. Can anybody help please?

Common factor to the high idle speed and the abs light could be the overvoltage protection relay. Idle speed air valve and abs control unit get common supply via the overvoltage protection relay.
