500 Sl Cuts Out

Anyone any ideas about 500 SL 1991 engine cut-out when decelerating? Only happens when on choke, never when warm.

Don't get choked for you do not have one.You have a cold start injector. Take a look at the thread further down the page it will help a little in understanding what goes on.

In addition I do have these notes on stalls when decelerate.

Make sure that the ignition is in good order and that the air intake is ok
Inspect all wiring and hoses for good contact
Check the throtle stop adjustment and curb idle RPM
