Some of you might have been following my posts,my car had been off the road for about 2 years i decided to put it back on the road this summer i have had problem after problem .i wont go into detail because its been posted before.Its cost me full discs and pads all round,rad,water pump ,fan clutch and stat now i have got problems with my ABS my front wheels are locking up under heavy braking so next is a couple of front sensors.I think the moral of the story is these cars were made to use not lock away in a garage ,i wont be making the same mistake again i,m going to enjoy my car, and i do enjoy my car ,after 8 years of ownership it still brings a smile to my face,a bit like the wife,a pain at times but i still love her.

Yes, every story I've read on here of people garaging the more complicated cars for some time without extensive preparations (and running the car to temperature every week) has ended in very expensive tears.

And from me, the well driven cars give the least problems, that is for sure.

2 years storage is a long time, and I think you may have done more harm by turning it over now and again...I garage my R129 during winter months so away for 6 months and never really encounter any major issues (touching wood), I remember after long storage of my W211 E55k after the first run the CPS immediately failed, I presume after it got hot ...as above best to keep them on the road if possible or short time storage is okay in the correct environment.
