This is my last post on this subject. The 500SEC was duly delivered by me (from France) to its owner in Bicester and walked through its MOT three weeks ago (though curiously it dropped a rear brake pad shortly afterwards).
The Alvis specialist restoring my car in Brackley saw the SEC when I was driving it and gave it a good inspection. He said it needs no more than a day's bodywork to get rid of the few glitches, new fan belts which are slipping, and the dropped rear brake pad. Oh and I'd personally get rid of the Clifford alarm which is a pain in the ****.
Then you would have a virtually new car with 94K miles from new with new MOT and FSH.
This car should have a good home. Anyone interested please contact the owner Mrs Good on 01869 250013. There's a deal to be done.
