Hello all,
my 560 has gone from a very reliable quick starter to a poor starter overnight. I almost wore down the battery trying to start it. It is as if there was no spark. I reverted to short turns of the ignition and as soon as I left the key go it would splutter and stop immediately, keeping the key turned would show no signs of firing at all. After some time it would splutter into life running like a watch almost immediatley and start reliably for the rest of the day. The first time it happened it did seem to backfire ever so slightly and a white smoke emmitted from the air intake smelling of burned oil, but this hasnt happened on other poor start ups.
Three times it has happened in the last 6 (dry weather) days.
Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.
Sorry for being so long winded.

Poor starting

Sounds like a faulty fuel pump relay or Over voltage relay.

If you split the fuel pump relay, you usually see cracked soldered joints and resoldering them cures the problem in most cases.
