Hi,i was out in my pride and joy yesterday and was caught in what can only be described as a monsoon. To my complete horror i found that the drivers side rear footwell was an inch deep in water when i got home.Where do i look to try and sort this? I have restored Range Rovers in the past,i can weld,is the job worth trying myself?.The door seal on the drivers side is split on the curve of the door, but the only damp is in the footwell. To say i am gutted is an understatment. Thanks for looking, regards LES.

Water appearing in the rear footwell can originate from a leak in the front of the car. It is carried through a wiring channel under the front carpet and barely wets the front. In my case the drain holes in the firewall below the windscreen were blocked and the subsequent corrosion had created an entry point for water. There are several recent threads on leaks.

your heater air box could be blocked with leaves and debri and the drain tubes for the sun roof can get blocked.

Might have a look at the rear window rubber, this can fail and lead to some unseen nasty corrosion beneath. Should be visable if you look under the rear parcel shelf from the boot side. My 560SEC suffers badly from this, not sure if the water ever reached the footwells but certainly flooded the boot.
