560 SEL onboard computer not working,also help with button id.

I have a 1989 560SEL with an onboard computer next to the speedo that does'nt work, Any ideas?
Also there are a bank of buttons in between the elec window switches I dont know what they do!!
I have enclosed pics of both.
Help Please!!!
