57plate A-class SRS light reset?

Hi a friend just had car cleaned, and afterwards had srs light come on. i asked if they had it hoovered, yes they had. so i checked the wiring under seats one of which was loose and I pushed back into place, i presume this caused the SRS error. - however the fault remains -

Does a SRS error stay on even after fault is gone? or is there something else wrong..

if it stays on is there a way to take this off without the hassle and cost of going to garage? thanks in advance, steve
