Car is a 2014 GLK250 Bluetec (Canada). 7-speed transmission. Done just under 30k km.

In general driving around town, car seems fine. What I noticed, was that when driving at steady highway speed - say 100km/hr, and then accelerate to pass, there is a brief judder/vibration that can be felt through the floorboards. This is quite repeatable.

Have had it in to dealer. At first they said it was a tire, but they had not done a proper road test. Went back and drove with experienced technician. He confirmed problem and said it was most likely a problem with the torque converter clutch.

Another owner, who had a similar problem, advises that his dealer just changed a control solenoid (Part No. 220-277-09-98). My dealer has ordered a complete torque converter.

Anyone your side of pond have similar issues? Is that solenoid part of the TC lockup system? Will new TC likely solve problem or could it just be a hydraulic problem?

Dealer will handle this under warranty - just want to try and understand issue better.

Any input welcomed!
