2013 cls 250 shooting brake
Hi everyone, drove car today and started off with a few clunky changes. Now engine light on and seems to be in limp mode and seems like clutch slip looking at rev counter. Not getting 7th and I'm pretty sure 6th is missing too. I can hit the up paddle and mostly goes into top gear for a short distance. Not able to select manual setting but auto and sport modes select. Reverse is fine. Car is just on 80000 miles. No record of fluid change. No chance of getting codes read just now, bank holiday! Anyone one else suffered the same? Cheers

Without codes buddy , even if someone said they had the same fault, you will still be in the same boat as it’s a Bank Holiday .
A gearbox service is needed anyway , every 40k miles .
Where do you live , someone may have an icarsoft near you

Yep, the box should have been serviced at 75k miles or 5 years which ever comes sooner, I had mine done early at 60k miles and then again this year at the 5 year mark. As above you need a code reader to see if anything has been recorded, it might be a speed sensor starting to fail

Ordered an icarsoft mb3, hopefully guide me in right direction. Gearbox Oil change kit as well

MB 3 , or 2 will lead u in right direction maker has made a faff of oil n filter change. If no leaks, measure all that comes out. Incl tc if you drain it. When you read codes post back on here if no bits in oil or tray and filter ur prob looking at a TC error I have not stripped one but understand there is a lock up solenoid /valve involved that may be malfunctioning this may be eng rpm /speed sensor controlled codes shud direct you.
