78' 300D galv Box under glove box

Hello,
Radio not working, I am replacing inline fuse behind radio when i see small galv box under glove box. antenna, speakers, and radio wires hooked up but 2 wires, (1) w/inline fuse (power) (1) earth. next to box but not connected. Tracted back to back of radio coming from fuce box. Do the hook to small galv box??? What is this small galv box????

On older cars the stereo often had a remote box with a power transistor (or even valve) in it. If nothing's connected to it I'd leave it that way

So I have power to the radio and it doesnt work its the radio not the box ( power transistor?
