Change the oil on time and merc boxes are

its a Genuine merc sump and a Genuine merc filter

as for reliability these are some of the most fragile, nasty gearboxes known to man

did you not read the indy guy down at Bristol saying he's unable to cope with a spate of TC failure's mid LY ( I thought he said it like switch and they are all dropping) and then we have the ISM fake failure at £1k a pop, the electroplate old price £1.2k for a10 pence failure, plus all the solenoids fill with swarf and block up leading to increase wear and bad changes, and if you open the throttle the whole internals self implode before the end of the road

FCP Euro seem to know their stuff I’ve watched quite a few of their YouTube maintenance videos (mainly BMW) very informative. Their workshop is squeaky clean as it should be

Not exactly the type of post I like reading, having changed from a 2010 E class 200, with the 5 spd 722.6 trans, to a 2014 E class 220 with the 722.9 trans.......

Standard operating practice for me whenever I change my car...regardless of what the service history says. Change all fluids
