Hi all,

I had this issue for a while now with the E class coupe 250 11 plate. I am very unlucky with the car as it had a lot of work done and I'm still in the same place, sadly.. basically I feel as if it struggle especially from 1st gear to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd when it's in ECO mode, that's when I put the foot down. It doesn't change the gears as smooth as it should. 4th 5th 6th all the way to 7th is fine. Any idea what could it be? I had engine mounts as well as the gear box replaced not long ago and the car felt so quiet and it seemed like it sorted the gearbox issue only for few weeks and it's back to normal now. I also had gearbox service done a year ago and had torque converter replaced as the indy said it would sort it, but no luck. Anyone had the same issue?

Sorry for the long paragraph, but hopefully someone else had the same issue in the past.
I have attached pictures with codes for the reference.

Those are all engine codes.
Nothing to do with transmission.

It was done October 2013, £560. the actual electro plate £226, SCN code £72. The rest was fitting, oils, VAT etc.
The CLK had done around 55K miles when the problem started
I thought MB would sorted the problem by 2011

Sorted it out only at owner expense. We pay here so mb can cover USA legislation on extended item warranty there
We have to rely on "goodwill"

Oh okay, perhaps I've got the same issue which I might go for. Did your 1st 2nd and 3rd gear seemed a bit laggy when changing gears?

Get it to an independent garage who has STAR for formal code advice before spending out.
Whereabout are you?

Who done the work, was it a MB specialist. TBF they dont sound competent at all and what code reader is that.
Most MB specialists would outsource gbox work.
MB boxes are bomb proof and I would have a got a second opinion if I was told the box was shot, then the TC, seems he throwing parts at it.
Did he even check the gbox mounts.
Some of those codes are redundant anyhow.

Get the codes read by indie using MB STAR. It cuts out the expensive guess work with no results.

I used S&P once before, they left me with no confidence and more just wanted to throw parts at a problem.
I went over to MB Centre in Nottingham and got the problem I had sorted first time.

Yeah I will have to throw some more money and get it all done. How much is the STAR diagnosis nowadays?

Last year I paid £45 it came with a free follow up ,should the same problems occur.
