What gets me about these mega bucks concept cars is they prove the money doesn't equal taste theory. The other one was that 2 million quid Enzo based thing Ferrari did for that American collector recently. To make the Enzo even uglier was quite some achievement.

I think the main word in both cases is "American". They seem to have some very odd and vulgar tastes in cars (although they do make some absolute crackers too). I can't help thinking that the whole MB range is pandering towards the American idea of car design at the moment. Certainly the new S and C-Class cars seem to me to have design cue's from across the pond.

Yes, the new C-class definitely has that "yank" look about it.

To be fair, haven't these become standard across the range now? I think it is just the 6x CD autochanger that is extra. For 8 million I would expect integrated i-pods powered through a Bose sound system, coffee and free newspapers.
