Hello; I need advice on connecting the original radio to the harness: which male spade terminal does the harness wire with the rubber-covered end go on (there are two choices; all other wire connections are obvious)? My radio blows the chassis (mounted on the back of the radio) fuse when turned on; Becker says there is nothing wrong with the radio. Can a failed power antenna cause this? :?:
My sunroof motor runs, but the roof does nothing; I can hear the drive cable moving in the roof rail. How can I get the roof partially open to get it apart? :?:

Solved the radio problem: the female spade terminals on the harness wires were crossed; the terminal with the brown wire with blue stripe is theground; the bare terminal attaches at the radio harness connection. Works perfectly now. Remember: if these two wires are corssed, the chassis fuse (6.3 amp) will blow. :)
As for the sunroof, no help yet. :(
Regards,
Randy

i dont knwo the 126 seris - but ill have a guess.

the early cars had the motor in the boot, there is a manual bolt that you use the wheel nut tool to turn. the later ones have the motor near the dome light - try removing the light covers and have a look.

if the motor is turning, but the gear isnt then it might be a whole headliner removal

ah - just looked at the epc - looks like you need a small allen key and the motor is by the light.
