'95 C280 Hood emblem removal

Also refered to as a "bonnet" emblem, for all you British chaps out there. I have a 1995 C280 and I want to remove the famous M-B star emblem. I already have the replacement emblem (M-B flat design), but I am unsure of how to remove the original. Any advice would be much appreciated.

i,ve just replaced mine on my c220 mate
very easy lift hood and underneath where the badge sits it just unscrews then pops out then when putting new one in turn it till it levels up
you will see what i mean
took me 5 mins :lol:
