98 c180 lost keys

I have lost my keys but i have found an exact same spec and model breaking that i can get the keys and locks from
What i want to know is what else do i need to change
Is it the main and c/l ecus if so where are they both located

I have to agree with you Sam, by the time you have bought all the coded ECU's and fitted them, it would be a lot easier to buy a new key from MB.

the key is £190
the guy who is breaking 1 said i can have it all for £80

That means changing the EIS, engine control module and having the lot all recoded!!!

These control units are coded to each car, you May be lucky but i would dout it very much!!!

I can see that all of the questions have been answered, no way can it be worth changing all of that lot, and it would have to be coded , plus you need to change all of the lock barrels so that you can use the metal key.

A new one from MB must make sense

No one in the whole world can program them as of yet

If you order a key from mb it will come fully coded and ready to work!!
