Hi all, alarm going off intermittently, have looked at a few threads saying battery leak in alarm strong possibility. Can anyone confirm it is in rear of passenger wheel well on this model, and if I can unplug it till I get home from holiday?
I also saw another post saying I can remove 10 amp fuse in box by spare wheel, which would disable it? Any help and advice appreciated, Adam

I believe it is located behind the passenger front wheel (behind the plastic arch liner) but l don't know about the fuse thing. My indy just disconnected the siren on my 202 and all was well. Obviously no audible alarm though.

Thank you for that as well. Have tried one reset method for accelerator, but not worked so far! Will try when home at least it's driving ok! Cheers Adam

If that's the press pedal all the way down, turn key on, face north, count to twenty, turn off key blah blah it's an urban myth.

As I have just found out after trying it 3 times... is there anything else that isn't? It's ticking over beautifully..no hiccups just lack of pull through the gears. It's just too coincidental this had started straight after battery disconnected. Thanks Adam

A last question about the alarm, please. I have located it behind the front section of plastic, passenger side wheel arch. If I unplug and tape up electrics, would this disable both the alarm and the lights? Or would the lights still flash with no sound! Don't want to drain the battery if I can help it. Thanks once again, Adam

I think it will disable the whole alarm, siren and lights. I don’t recall our W208 flashing once I’d disconnected the alarm.

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but when my 202 alarm was disconnected the indicators continued to flash 3 times upon locking and once when unlocking. They would also flash upon an alarm condition.

I think the OP means the constant Flashing of lights as if the alarm has been tripped.

Interesting! I have left it connected but easily accessible...I will try unplugging in the morning, and see if my lights flash when locking/ unlocking. If it does I will just need to disconnect battery if it happens again, till I source another alarm. Thank you.
