Hi forum, looking for some advice to get an S500 going again.

The scenario is:

Flat battery so no opening on the fob, both locks siezed, spare in the car.
So far loads of WD on the locks, so far no joy.

Options as I see it.

Open/break the bonnet and (hopefully) find a +ve terminal and get some charge that way.
Any tricks of the trade to get the door open
Access the boot if the battery is there(or is it under the back seat?)

I'm out of my W124 comfort zone so any ideas gratefully accepted.

If you can jack the car nearside front you could connect a battery charger onto the large starter cable

Work on the boot lock, plenty of WD and find some lime scale remover in liquid form, Ive found if you can feed that into the lock it helps to break up the gunge in there. Take it easy and dont force anything.

A hypodermic needle and 7% vinegar is a good scale remover and PTFE is much kinder to the lock pins than WD40

A good result was achieved on my builders S500. Following advise from above I jacked the car up, removed the under-trays, with the aid of a long screwdriver placed (bit tight and careful not to touch the rest of the car!)on the 'live' lead to the starter solenoid, wired up the battery charger, called out to 'Bob' to hit the fob and the doors sprung open. Though I had to do it again after he hadn't hit the boot release!
I'm now owed a big favour after saving him quite a few quid.
