Wonder if I have missed anything from previous threads!

Intermittent and fading SRS light. Airbag light on. Wipers/washers will not operate and turn radio off (if on).

SRS light out but second position on wipers turns radio off.
Sometimes clears then all systems OK

10/15 mins after running fault clears

On first press of key 'unlock' button passenger door unlocks but drivers doesn't, although this seems to have been partly cured when I synchronised key fob in car with ignition 2 process.

New battery fitted about 7 months ago but no faults noted then

Any pointers gratefully received

This is an odd fault and must be a poor connection, I notice that all of the circuits involved are fed from the ignition switch, my 99 320 had a new one fitted. Other than that do clean all of the fuses with a good non drying switch cleaner

Ignition switch is where my money is.

The Star cannot diagnose ignition switch problem on this model 129 as it is mechanical and has no method of interogation.

I had this fault when touring in France the MB garage I went to took two days to find the cause and eventually needed to rig a temp cure as they could not get the correct part. On returning to the UK my local dealer used the information from the French and all is now ok. They needed to replace the switch body part No.10 in the diagram, it cost me just over £200 but worth it as when it rains I can now see.

If it is ignition switch does that mean keys would have to be replaced/re-programmed?

SRS light update

The ignition switch (protector !) was replaced together with the passenger seat sensor (Pad) and all is well. Expensive but worth it to get the wipers/radio/climate control working correctly.

Thanks for all the inputs it helped me to track the dealer was on the right track.

If in North Kent I can recommend MB of Gillingham for their attitude, help and speed in sorting out the problem
