Hi all, I sold my 1994 C180 and bought a 1993 E280 (put on a load of weight and need the room) It is in A1 condition just over 57000 on the clock, The problem is it don't have A/C, is there anyone out there who has had A/C fitted and about how much it would cost?

I know people do retro fit it , i think its about 1800 or so for it.

Your local dealer might be the best place to ask.

Jason knows his stuff! I got a/c retro-fitted to a Jag by a company in N-London called Mirageair some years ago. It cost about £1200 then, so it must be somewhere around £1800-2000 now. Luckily I live in Scotland now, and I'm more likely to need a good heater (even in August) ;>)

When my SL was new it was retro fitted my MB. the new car was shipped to them and they fitted the system. apparently there was a major shortage of SL's in 1992 and this was quite common.

The good part is that the A/C switch that they added looks totally factory despite the fact that the SL factory aircon didnt have a switch !
