Hello there, is there anybody out there who would know categorically if the above mentioned vehicle has a "clutch to cycle" in the A/C system?

I am preparing to take an A/C repairer to the small claims court, (see my other thread, A/C evaporator "o" rings).

The facts regarding this case have been the subject of a "trade" forum on A/C. One of the A/C mechanics who responded, felt that my vehicle may not have this paticular part in its system, even though I was charged for repairing it.

It would really be of great help to me if anybody could shed any light on this matter.

Regards
mike

Hi Malcolm, thanks very much for your response, although I don't quite understand it, although I think it may be what I am after.

My knowlege of A/C is quite basic.

Amongst many other things I was charged for (Autodata ref) P2.3000 Switch-low/cycling pressure R&I 1.3hrs £78+vat for labour. (replace "o" ring)

It has been suggested to me,that my car does not even have "a clutch to cycle" in my A/C system (although to be honest I am not sure what this means) If this is the case, I have the merchant on something proveable and tangible ragarding his £962 bill. In other words a specific error on the bill.

Can I ask you to be a tad more specific for me. Is there a low pessure switch of any kind in my A/C system? And specificly is there such a switch he has charged me to replace the "o" ring in?
regards
mike
