A Class A140 W168 spedometer, rev counter and fuel Gauge not working.

Hi Guys and Girls I'm New here.

I have an A Class A140 W168 and I'm very happy with the car I just have 1 niggle that my speedo, rev counter and fuel gauge don't work.

My question is that if I get a new set of clocks can I just plug them in and away I go or do I need to get them programmed to the ECU atall??

A mechanic I use said they're may be an immobiliser inside the clocks. Not sure if that's right or not so looking for advice. Thanks.

I have an A Class A140 w168.

Unfortunately my speedo,rev counter and fuel gauge has stopped working.

Does anyone know if I get a replacement instrument cluster if its plug and play or does it need to be programmed??

Q1. Who says the cluster is faulty..?
Q2. Is it automatic transmission..?

what type pf mechanic are you using, anyold mechanic or a mercedes independent garage or a mercedes dealer, wrt to an immobiliser in the cluster, thats a new one to me but I could be mistaken.
