A Class Creaking Seat

Driver's seat in my 57 A Class ok while driving but creaks when I get in or out. Anyone else had same issue?

On the scale of possible problems I know this is small beer - but it just dents the otherwise feeling of German solidity of the car. Will I be looked at in disbelief if I propose this as a warranty issue to the dealer - ie will they think I'm mad?

No, they will follow the prescribed remedial actions listed in their electronic workshop manual.

I had exactly the same issue that you describe, Rhud, and I'm pleased to say it was dealt with by my dealer with no problem at all.
