a customer of mine has an a class "t" reg with electrohydraulic pas when the ign is switched in and the car started ,the power steering will work normally to either lock,after that the power steering wont work unless i switch ign off and back on again does the blue wire go to the alternator like the vauxhall type?
any ideas on common faults with this type?

hi alan.
the steering pumps on the a class are a known problem. ie the control box on the pump lets water in an causes shorts. the reason it works lock to lock then fails is the first two locks are allowed for self check of control unit. have it code read and all shall be revealed.
