A class engine problems

Hi

This week had to have my car recovered to the nearest mercedes garage as the engine was make a strange noise it seemed to drive ok, but didn't sound healthy, they have looked at it and said they don't know whats wrong and they have got to wait and have the car looked at by a drive technition, as anybody got any clues.

Could be many things, what kind of noise was it making???

Hi

I'm not very technical, sounded ratterly/tractor I thought could it be the timing chain, the garage is looking at it tomorrow I will let you know.

Hi

Found out what what was wrong, it was the Air Con Compresser which had collapsed, they told me it would cost over £1000.00 but it was covered under warranty, which was a relief.
