Hello,

All depends on price, great having low miles but doesn't seem to make an awful lot of difference when you sell.

What's the spec / price etc

Try piston heads also as its fee and include a lot of pictures.

If its an early A class they didn't get the best of reports, but saying that second hand they can be a good buy (we have one)

Good luck.

thanks a lot for your advise. The car is 2004 and only has 18000 miles... it looks just as new.

I tried at £ 6000 but have since than lowered it to £ £ 5900 as I have the new car coming in a month. Could this be too much for an A 140 Picadilly?

I will try Piston Heads.

Regards

D.

One way is to see what your dealer will give you as a part ex and then add a grand and a bit to that as a private sale. Or go to Glass's Guide website and tyrpe in all the details and for only £3 they will give you a full valuation including dealer prices, private sale prices etc.

This is a lousy time of year for selling. Part ex I think you'll get 4-5k. Merc dealers sell 140's like yours for asking prices a bit over £6k. Here's one on the MB website
