A Class Luggage Cover

Does anyone happen to know whether the roll-out luggage cover on a W168 A class is different from the W169?

We have a 2007 model and a tiny plastic peg broke off, rendering the cover unusable - I have to replace the ENTIRE luggage cover, according to MB, at a cost of £189.

Thought I might try Ebay, if anyone can confirm - they certainly look the same.

How did it break? If it wasn't abused and broke with normal use I would take the approach that it should be fixed under warranty.

:lol:not a problem, you can buy the small pegs as a kit, they pull out and then you tap the new ones in.

I can post a photo, but I'm out of the country for another week, will do when I get back.

It broke through normal usage, but MB are refusing to replace under warranty, saying that it must have been abused.

The pegs come as kit? That would be ideal, but why didn't the dealer suggest that?

There is a cover on Ebay at the moment for £20, which is why I'm asking if they are the same for all model years - does anyone know?

Just as a follow up - I finally managed to get to a dealer today and yes, the pegs come as a repair kit!
I still think it odd that the neither the dealer or MB themselves suggested this... still I'm sorted now, for £8 ^_^
