Can Someone Tell Me Who In Mercedes Decided To Combine The Air Flow Meter With The Ecu...knowing Full Well That The Air Flow Meter Is A Very Tempramental Thing..as Ive Decided Myself This Is All To Rip The A Class Driver Off...on A Normal Car The Air Flow Meter Is Separate Costing Between £40 - £50 To Replace And Takes The Mechanicaly Minded Approx 10 - 15 Mins To Change..but Not On The A Class , You Need An Airflow Meter Well You Have To Send Your Ecu Off Because It Is Attached To The Air Flow Meter To Be Repaired At Around £200--£300 Or Go To The Main Dealer And Pay Between £600 - £900 For A Replacement...sorry About The Rant But I Had To Get It Off My Chest ...thanks For Listening.....ps From Reading Other Forums This Seems To Be A Big Problem Maybe Mercedes Should Recall All A Classes To Rectify This Problem..

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Sadly we are seing more and more components all being moulded into one making replacment parts very expensive like a flasher unit costing £300 or an ignition switch at £300 up to £1500 for a ABS modulator with built in pump. £650+ when the clock packs up.
