Hi all, I've recently started having a problem with my 160 A class. The engine managment light came on and the car would not idle when cold.
Reading a few forums I decided to try cleaning the MAF unit still no joy.
Sent my MAF/ECU unit off to BBA reman for repair. They said there was a fault and repaired the unit.Replacing the unit after repair the car will still not idle when cold when its hot there is no issue. The engine managment light does not come on so thats one good thing. Any advice on my next step would be appreciated.

You need to try cleaning the throttle flap with some Carb cleaner, that should help!

Thanks very much Sam its fixed the idle problem by cleaning out the throttle body.
The car has now passed the MOT all emissions were fine.
Howerver when driving back from the MOT station the engine managment light came on again.
My heart sank I have just plugged it in to a OBD code reader and the error reads P0170 Fuel trim malfunction bank 1 ?
Any sugestions would be appreceated I'm falling out of love with the Aclass unfortunatly :(
