A Class Will not rev over 1000rpm

I have an A160 2000 and suddenly it will not rev over 1000rpm,if you push down the accelerator it just misfires,if you take your foot off it ticks over perfectly.

Sounds awfully like you may have a blocked Cat! Have you put the wrong fuel in? Maybe something like Cataclean may help you

Could be anything engine management related. I've come across a number of cars from Audi to escort that wont rev when there is a loose pipe or leak between the air filter housing and the throttle body. Start and tick over fine, just won't run. The escort was a case of just pushing the pipe back on , the audi was crashed so had to towed - only engine bay damage was the filter housing.
