HI NEW TO THIS
MY 1999 A CLASS 140 HAS STARTED DRIVING SLUGGISH, SONDS AND FEELS LIKE ITS ONLY FIRING ON THREE CYLINDERS...IVE CHANGED THE PLUGS ..USED STP INJECTOR CLEANER .CHANGED UP TO PREMIUM UNLEADED FOR THE EXTRA CLAENING ..( I DO ALOT OF SHORT JOURNEYS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE INJECTORS FUR UP QUICKER THROUGH THE HEATING AND COOLING PROCESS) ..IVE ALSO CLEANED THE AIR FLOW METER BY SPRAYING ALCHOHOL CLEANER THROUGH IT...IM HOPING ITS NOT THE ECU ..BUT IM NOT THAT LUCKY ...ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED..:-D

Hi & Welcome,

Replacing the MAS, rather than trying to clean it maybe of benefit. However if it is running on 3 then it requires some diagnostic time. Find a independant MB specialist and have them read out the error codes

Hi Thanks For The Reply ..its Running On 4 But Feels Like Only Three...also Can You Replace The Mas On The Intergrated Air Flow Meter Ecu..

you can repalce the air flow meter on an a class , they are about £258 inc carriage(no vat) (from me anyway)
