What do you make of this chaps? My lowly 190 is too near pension age to qualify, plus its got too many miles on the clock as well, but some of the more spritley examples of Germanys finest might be able to take advantage?

I had a quick look at this, put in the details of my car, and came up with £660 annual fee, i personally think this is a bit steep to say the least.

I'm sure Andy will back me up on this one, but most of these after market "warranties" are not worth the paper they are written on. They quote that everything is covered, but when you read the small print, you then find exemptions that virtually wipe out any chance of getting something covered.

Towards the end of my time in the trade, i used to deal with warranty claims, i very soon adopted the adage, that if a warranty wasn't issued by the car manufacturer, the forget it. Now days when i buy a car, if they want to give me a warranty then i have it, but i won't spend a penny of my own hard earned on one.

My E300TD came out at £660 too.

Nowhere on the website are you able to check the 'small print', which is hardly encouraging.

My feeling is that you are never better off than when you are using somebody you trust.

That's got to be better than someone you've never met who is working to a price.

So, all told, I agree with that bloke who used to have a caravan.

I think that you will find the signiture warranty is about this price. My manager has a SLK and was quoted about this price. He has twins on the way. So the SLK going.

still naff though me thinks. i mean would this pay for a major service at an MB dealers, or somewhere like Andy's place?
