Hello all,

Im looking for a little help if anyone can. I have bought a 2005 e270cdi estate ( 7 seats) but have no information other than the v5. Can anyone interpret the vin WBD2112162A431031 so I can get a little more info on the spec.

Also a long shot but im trying to identify the clips that hold the luggage compartment silver trim on. There are screw on the lip closest to the boot interior but the outer section seems to be held down with plastic clips that have been snapped off.

Many thanks in advance and thanks for the help so far. I haven't had this car long snd have never had a Mercedes before. This forum has so far helped me identify and fix the following:

1) Power drain on the alarm circuit (faulty alarm sounder)
2) No RF response to key fob (faulty antenna amplifier module £20)
3) Faulty rear wiper (wiper seized in the bearing bush - stripped and fixed saving ~£130 :))

Such a great resource which I look forward to adding info to if I can :)

If you search for Mercedes vin codes on Playstore, you'll find a few apps that will give you the spec of your car. :)

You’d do well to replace the little half moon painted black steel insert that seals the rear wiper arm to the tailgate glass. £15-20 for the part and a whole truckload of heartache if it starts to leak! Plus, they’re steel and in contact with water so pretty much designed to rust...

Do you have a part number by any chance?
