well not exactly - but it feels like one! Just had a four wheel alignment at Gordon's Tyres in Wakefield who have state of the art equipment and coffee machines and magazines while you wait. The rear toe settings were well out and what had been a fairly twitchy car on a wet windswept motorway was rock solid on the way home. Nice people too - highly recommended
Phil
ps they have a number of depots in the area but only Wakefield has the 4 wheel kit

Morning Phil
I'm not sure exactly, but on the mazda rx8 forum one satisfied customer said it cost 45 grand and it was way ahead of (just) laser alignment - which the company does at its other depots. the guy on reception said the machine basically took digital photographs of everything before during and after adjustments and the computer screen had red & green images for measurements that were outside or inside tolerances and these were confirmed on a printed report which they give you.
I was recently charged more elsewhere for having the tracking done on my daughter's polo so I can't recommend these people highly enough - while I was there a guy came in to book his W123 for the full works later in the day
regards
Phil

I'm glad the car is better - my w203 has never felt "planted" on the road and has the (apparently standard) drift to the left. I've read horror stories about the car being messed up after alignment costing hundreds of pounds so I've left it alone. One thing I've read is that the car should be weighted before the measurements are made.

£25 is insane! If you think about it, however many thousands of pounds the kit cost, how on earth can they get the money back by charging £25?

Hi Rory - I was amazed as well- they'd even quoted me £35 when I phoned to enquire and I would have been perfectly happy to pay that. I had been planning to take the car over to Oldham to Drury lane Services - see Parrot of Doom's post on the topic - as they are also highly recommended - but when I found somewhere closer to home I thought I'd give them a try and am pleased that I did so.
I overheard a conversation with another customer on the telephone and he was told that the ultimate price would depend on how many adjustments were necessary but the most it would be was £55 - even at that rate it would take ages to get the money back.
I suspect however that the ramp is in virtually constant use as they said they were getting business "from all over" due to other people charging what they called silly prices
