A or B Service ?

The last service on my W210 320cdi estate was a B service & the display had displayed the next service as an A. That is until the mileage was 1200mls to go, then it changed to a B.

Anyone experience this or able to offer an explanation?

This has cropped up before but i can't for the life of me find the thread. I can't quite remember what was said, but it may have been time related, for example if you don't do alot of miles the car might think, "oh hang on we haven't checked all these items for some time now so we best have a B service instead" there was something else mentioned aswell. I shall keep looking for the thread, in the meantime, someone else might find it or post a confirmed reason as to why your car has done this.
