When I got a quote from yourselves this year and last year, you were between 20% and 40% higher than everyone else. Ironically it was cheaper staying with my current insurance company.

It's nice to hear about these types of partnerships, but for me, not at the expense of a premium annual fee.

what i dont understand though ...is if your all part of the same group then how come one branch can offer it for less but another will end up more? ... ive always been pretty loyal with my insurance company but said i thought i better phone around as the new policy price seemed high...oh let me just have a look at the quote again and see if we can improve it....new price almost 100 quid less than they started at Work that out??

Can you confirm that my MB will be repaired with Gen MB Parts and the repair will be repaired at a MB Approved Bodyshop (i.e. not in a Insurance Approved Bodyshop).

Please confirm, as I am sure that this IS important for forum members and all MB owners?

yep...... crazy!...been with them years , think they try it on sometimes and there quids in...all for them making a profit...just would be nicer if it was a honest one

I own a imported Toyota 4x4 as well as a Mercedes.

I used to be insured by you but you lost out to Sureterm because of price.

If a combination policy is available it would be worth while me getting a quote

It will if you take it to where you want the repair doing. Ins companies try to persuade you to use their approved repairers by increasing excesses or not giving you a courtesy car if you don't, but (generally) they can't make you take it there.

Agree with points 100% - however the Insurers are VERY domineering and with the threat of no courtesy car AND paying an additional £200 excess (on top of what you are going to pay anyway) this tactic usually puts customers off and they GO WHERE THE INS CO TELLS THEM TO GO!

We have the facilities for you to use your own repairers, as previously noted in another post some companies do prefer you to use their repairers, as long as you advise that is something you want to do before you claim, or even at quotation stage we can make sure this is available to you.

As long as you tell us that is what you want it can be organised. The terms around it will depend on the insurer, but this again will need to be discussed at quotation stage.

Well if my experiences of an MB Approved Bodyshop are anything to go by I would insist on NOT having the repairs done by them

Nothing wrong with that and if your Rep and Rec is from a knowledge source - that is spot on however, please add actual ability combined with approval(obviously MB Approved would help) and actual equipment to fix - all techs completing work must have lots and lots of key qualifications - hope that helps.
