A question for w208 CLK Owners.....

I have just noticed something that not all w208 CLK's have. They are like little spats on the leading edge of the Rear Bumpers.

My current CLK320 has them, see below:

And my CLK430 had them, see below: (Sorry, couldn't find a better picture).

But my first CLK didn't, see below:

Nor my second one, see below:

The only thing I can think of is that the 2 that have were originally fitted with AMG Wheels when I look at the VIN Descriptions. 794 AMG-WHEELS 17 SQUEEZE-IN DEPTH

Any thoughts?

I never really noticed it before as I never had 2 CLK's at the same time. But I looked at one today next to mine and noticed the difference. Weird.

They fit the same to SLK’s with the 18” wheels. It’s so the wider wheels don’t throw carp up the side of the car

Our 2001 one didn’t have them. AMG body kit and 17” wheels as ordered.

Our first SLK200K didn't have them & had 16" wheels. The second SLK200 had them, as does our current SLC both on 18" wheels.

Just had a look and yes, my SLK230K had them aswell......
