My Audi A4 2009 run into problem showing no pressure in "HPFP" (Car has done just over 10700 miles) Serviced regularly.
To cut the long story short- I was shown fine mettalic shavings in the pump resulting in exchanging the whole system pumps front back injectors rail ect costing in excess of £4300 for a car values about £2500

I now moved to diesel c class 220d.
Will using Shells premium diesel help prevent such damage.
Is there obvious benifit using premium diesel?

I believe such damage comes with some contamination of the fuel (water, dirt), all 'western' diesel fuels are good enough by standard.

I realised my error (again) typing ,in my original statement . Me and my modern equipment don't get on well. ;-)
Audi A4 debacle miles done should read
107000.
Not as in little as in my opening post.
