They were nice cars, I always wanted a 300TDT. Compaired to almost any other car of the time, they were so well made. Maybe one of the best examples of you got what you paid for.

Did they only make them for the states. What other countries had them, I don't think I have ever seen one here in the Uk, for sale anyway.

A W123 TDT most probably the worlds toughest car. :D

No, not possible in RHD, some from Germany told me here on this forum, I think it was the steering gear in the way of the turbo. In Sweden there were loads of them like new, I had a 123 280TE at the time.

Agree with Malcolm (TV) no turbo's in RHD as steering box in the way.
Looking at the Hempcar site, looks like it was getting 21mpg, not the geatest but with cheap fuel still good value
