A124 cabriolet water leak betweenhood and driver's door glass

[CRJ]

I have an A124 E220 Cabriolet.
A leak has developed with rain water coming in between the driver's door window where the leading corner meets the hood and windscreen.
I can see the water between the side seal on the hood and the side window glass but cannot work out why.
As far as I can see the seal is not damaged.
Does anyone have an ideas ?

The glass in both my doors comes too high: if I close the windows, then lower them slightly, all is fine. They seem correct in "tilt" and in how far out from the door seals they are. The top and rear edges are nicely parallel with their respective rubber seals. I've read up what I can...
