A140 Auto Gear select problem

Hi There
A140 Auto has recently had a new gear select module fitted only to have the fault returning after two weeks / now talking about changing the FTC CAN at very large cost. Any one any ideas On a 54 plate

Its usually the Control unit in the gearbox that fails, £1065 + vat for the part and labour to fit, plus oil and time on star.

Good idea, Its possibly not worth fixing though. what was the mileage 55,000??

Roughly yes, Ive have 3 this year with the same problem all mileage was 50-60k.

Milage only 24K / have left it at the garage over night for him to checkout. Hoping for a cheap estimate. Wife on the net looking for another car as we speak. Will post the out come.

Just got back from the garage and the only fault he could find was a faulty ignition switch, changed for £10.10 + labour and vat. Fingers crossed that is the end of my problems.
