Hi, could anyone help with some info on changing the break pads for my A140,
Ive never done this before so I would appreciate any opinions or advice you guys could pass onto me.
Is it a simple process?

Mercedes want £260 to change them.
The tell me that they are 90% worn yet i have no indicator light showing on the dash, would it have been on if this was the case??

Many Thanks in advance

The light normally come on with roughly 95% wear.

You just need a couple of spanners and a pair of grips to change them.

Make sure the edges of the pads are greased with heat proof grease available at a dealer.

If your not confident doing it get a manual or get a specialist to do it for you.

Hello

We are in a similar position for the wifes A210 Evo, specialist wants £320 to do it, I thought mmmmmm I've done this before years ago on Golfs and even my dads old 500SEC at the time....sure I could do it.

Ive source OEM parts from Euro Carparts, I need to check as the Evo has drilled vented brakes all in the quote was £110 for parts.

Haynes manual £15 ?

Spanners, time and a few cups of tea should mean job done

I checked them this weekend and the pads have loads of life, discs are scored but only done 30K. Thing is its the wifes car and she carries our little one around so I will get the buts togther and get them changed soon.

Post back if you do yours, must be the same on the A140 as A210 same principle

Cheers
