A160 cdi headlight upgrade

I have recently purchased a 2004 A160 cdi (W168), I am delighted with this car, except for one thing, the headlights seem a little dim, (when compared to my previous car: VW beetle) Is it possible to upgrade the headlights without doing any damage to the electrics? Has anyone done this?
