A170 CDi Rear Washer Problem

The rear washer is not reaching the rear window. When activated the water appears to be running down within the rear door and leaks out of the drain holes over the bumper. I have removed the trim off the inside of the rear tailgate and the visible pipework seems ok. Reading through other messages it seems likely that the pipe has come off the back of the washer jet (not vissible). If this is so, how do I remove the washer jet from the outside of the tailgate since you do not seem able to get at it from the inside? Any thoughts?

If you have a look on this site, you can see that it is prised out from the outside, the pipe is long enough to allow you to withdraw the nozel enough.I think you will find that the coupler has split.
