Hi All.
I am posting on here for the first time regarding my daughters 16 plate A180d.
The car has become a pain when trying to start, makes no difference if engine is hot or cold When you insert the key you can hear the steering lock motor action and steering is unlocked but engine does not crank at all.
It is a manual so clutch pedal has to be pressed down to start
Occasionally it can be triggered by pumping the clutch and then will run ok, but is taking longer and longer to get this to work
Battery measured 12.2v having sat for a couple of hours and 14.7 when running
I got a none AGM battery to try but then found it has stop/start (she said it didn't) so I left it
She now says she meant the stop/start didn't work. I don't know if this is relevant
Should I get a AGM battery to try or is there something else I'm missing?
