About 20 minutes a side to replace front pads, be careful on the off side with the wear sensing wire which goe's to the outside pad. Use MB pad kit with new clips, bolts and their brake grease sachets. Thoroughly clean the caliper / brake pad carrier before fitting new pads etc.

I will be changing discs this weekend, I think it will be straight foreward in that one will have to unbolt the caliper / pad carrier, remove the single disc retaining screw, and fit new disc after cleaning the mount face on the hub and degreasing the new disc, but if it's like a VW sometimes have to drill the screw out where rusts into the hub.

thanks for that...

long shot, but do you know if the "Textar" front brake pad set sold by 'German Swedish & French Car Parts' is likely to include new clips, bolts, etc, like the MB pad kit? (seems like good value at £27.50+VAT)
