I don't know anything about the A class, but does the filler pipe pass within the passenger compartment at all, say in the boot area? Could it be a problem there?

If this is the case, isn't this a cause for concern? Or would the Dealers have you believe that it is another Mercedes A-class 'trait'? Remember the infamous 'elk' test? **Shudder**

I feel a 'Watchdog' coming on..........................;)

The other 4 A class were a mixture of diesels and petrol cars, they all said the same that the fumes were giving a headache to the occupants of the car.

There is nothing listed on this

There is a pipe that is common to leak. It is located onto the fuel rail.

I have had so many complaints on this and so far there has been no solution.

found that pipe last week and replaced the hose clip. Much tighter now, was hoping this would fix the prob, but still fuel smell. Thanks for the reply.

Hi
It is the flexible hoses that deteriorate not the clips. Replace the flexible hose.
