Sure that I have read somewhere here about a little plastic clip that breaks.

thanks

Any idea where i will find thread about clip and also advice on windows. Close but with constant pressing of button do you think switches could be dirty and not making contact the a190 has been unused for 1 year and the battery has been left flat could this also cause auto faults if the battery is not fuly charged thanks agian for a friendly speedy service

The other posting was under A160 or170. Gear box

Re battery this should be charged disconected from the car as the high voltage will damage the ECU's etc. The windows will require a re set, follow the instructions in your hand book.

The common fault here is the shift valve Y3/7y5 you will have a fault code number P1844.
